WEDDING | Jessica & Curtis | Langley Wedding Photography

This wedding is a special one, because Jessica is my second cousin and best friend from pre-school throughout elementary school.   I distinctly remember one day in grade one being sad at school because she was home sick with the flu.  :)

Jessica actually switched her wedding date so that I could be her photographer (I already had a wedding booked on her original date) so the pressure was on to do a good job.  ;)  I had so much fun, and the day went so perfectly.  We had a later ceremony and so hit some killer light for portraits, and Jessica and Curtis pretty much gave me free reign on our portrait location – meaning I of course dragged the entire wedding party through an abandoned lot – long grass, prickles, bugs and all.  And I love love love how they turned out.

The ceremony and reception both took place at the Langley Golf Centre, and the ceremony set up looked beautiful!  I love outdoor ceremonies – they are so pretty to shoot.

I’m pretty happy with this ring shot because you can see both rings in it (check out the lower right corner).   I didn’t even notice until my second round of edits.

These were all taken in an abandoned lot in Surrey – I’ve used it a few times now and it always manages to look different (depending on the light of the day).  This time it was just glowing – perfectly romantic.

I was in love with these super cute mini-cupcakes at the reception.  Adorable!  Yummy too.

Jessica & Curtis – I had so much fun.  Thank you for trusting my crazy abandoned lot and for traipsing around in the grass and bugs!  I can’t wait to design your album – it’s going to be extremely purdy.  :)
