Wedding albums and snow are both pretty awesome.

Up here in Canadaland we are set to get a bunch of snow this weekend.  It began very slightly this morning, so obviously I had to go outside to check it out….

Hehe.

Now on to the real reason for this post – wedding albums!  I love love love wedding albums, and include them in all of my wedding packages.  My feeling is – if you’re going to pay for great wedding photography, you should be putting those photos in a beautiful album.  Otherwise it’s a waste (in my opinion).

What about scrapbooking, you say?  Scrapbook your wedding photos all you want (I would never slam scrapbooking – I think scrapbooking is cool!) but your photos still deserve a classy, quality keepsake.   I’m totally open to being wrong though – are there any brides out there who didn’t get a professional wedding album printed?  Where are your pictures now?  What did you do with them?

Julie and Ryan’s album came in last week, and is one of my favourites so far.  It’s the biggest album I have (11×14) and is made of beautiful soft black leather.  I was so excited to drop it off with Julie this week!  Check it out:

The pages are super thick and sturdy – it’s pretty awesome.B-Vancouver-Wedding-Album-Pages-Barata0018

You can really see the texture of the leather here.  B-Vancouver-Wedding-Album-Barata0035

I will leave you off with a pretty snowflake I drew on the hood of my card this morning. :)  Hope you’re all having a good day!

Rebecca | Photographer - Hi Cheryl!!! You know what – I’m not sure if I had these albums yet back then… maybe that was the reason. :P I’m still here for ya if you want one. :)

Cheryl - Rebecca, the albums look gorgeous… you shot my wedding over a year ago, we didn’t order an album through you (for some crazy reason, obviously), the pictures were beautiful but sadly I must fess up and say I haven’t done ANYTHING with them yet… they are still sitting on a CD all sad like… I haven’t even attempted the whole cheap-behind plastic album yet… biggest regret was deciding to do my album myself!

Rebecca | Photographer - Brooke – Agreed! Yep, this one is from BonMatch – I ordered in some swatches from Leather Craftsmen though, I’m tossing around switching to them next year.

brooke bowland - oh yah baby. that album is HOT. i always like to remind people that when the day comes to an end, you will have fantastic photos to look back on, would you rather look at them as 4×6’s under plastic? i think not. hehe.
i so need some new samples. is this a new company or your usual?
oh and your drawings…love em. made me smile!

Rebecca | Photographer - @Emmanuella I knew it! I honestly think that’s what most people end up doing. Hey, at least you got them printed! :P

Emmanuella - This is a good point about the albums. I didn’t get one. Instead, you ready for this, I bought photo albums at Superstore ($9.99 I believe a piece), and I put them in there. I feel a little sleezy now after seeing yours. And our wedding photos are fantastic, I really didn’t do them much justice!
