I don’t really have anything interesting to post today, so I figured I’d post a few images that I’m working on – from my first wedding of the year! A January wedding is tricky because the sun sets so early, so we decided to do all of our portraits before the ceremony so that we would have some gorgeous sunlight to work with.
Breanne and Ryan are super awesome, and so was Swaneset – it really is one of the best venues in BC. Add the stunning scenery that surrounds it, and the amazing weather we hit (the one sunny day in the midst of two weeks of ugly flat cloud and rain) and one might say it was a pretty good start to my year. :P
I was crossing my fingers and toes for weeks that it wouldn’t rain, because I wanted to get this exact shot:
I am so incredibly lucky with weather it isn’t even funny. This isn’t the first time I’ve hit gorgeous weather like this in the midst of a two week ’slump’, and I have yet to be rained out on a wedding day! Fingers crossed that this lucky streak keeps on going….
This driveway is so cool. I can’t wait to shoot a fall wedding at Swaneset so these trees are full of colour – but they even look pretty darn good bare like this, don’cha think?
Two of my favourite detail shots ever ever ever:
The ceremony decor was breathtaking. The sun was slowly setting during the ceremony (which made things pretty difficult camera-wise, but super amazing otherwise!)
Alright, that’s all I’ve got for now – back to work for me. Hope you’re all having a super Tuesday!
