For two important reasons:
1) On Wednesday, I dropped off Colby & Steve’s E.Session order. And got a box of Purdy’s Chocolates! Dark Chocolate!!!! They rule.
2) On Friday, I got engaged! (This reason is slightly less important than the chocolate reason, so I may expand on it in a later post.) :P
So, back to the important stuff: On Wednesday, Adam and I were headed to the beach for a romantic-yet-greasy fried chicken dinner. We stopped off at Colby and Steve’s place on the way so I could drop off their order, and were surprised with: our dessert!
I LOVE dark chocolate. So when I opened the box (yes, I ripped it open approximately 1.5 hours after Colby gave it to me) and saw this little piece of paper, I immediately began to drool. (Not a super attractive look for me – I actually think that may have been the reason Adam didn’t propose that day.) :P
Pretty empty – this is how it looked after we were through with it. Bucket of greasy chicken + fries + mashed potatoes + potato salad (yes, I am a potato fiend too)+box of chocolates = full girl. This picture features the sad and lonely raspberry cream – one of those chocolates that always gets eaten last, don’t you find? Don’t feel too sorry for it though; I ate it fairly quickly after this photo was taken.
Colby & Steve – thank you SO much, you really didn’t have to! I was ecstatic already with how the photos turned out – I have plastered them all over my website, so by this point I should really be paying you for modelling fees. :)
One final note: Colby is a graphic designer, which I’m sure means that she gets as excited over pretty packaging as I do – aka the reason for her picking a box with such cute wrapping! Yes, I know, I am a huge nerd to comment on the wrapping job of a box of chocolates, but I’ve honestly never seen one wrapped this nicely!
And finally, because the chocolates aren’t the only thing that look soooo good:
Thanks again you guys; I hope you are enjoying the sun as much as I am. :)
