Finally I have some time to sit down and type!

Now where was I…

Kelly and Ray are probably my favourite couple ever. They were one of my first wedding clients, and I am so grateful to them for trusting me to capture one of the most important days of their lives. They were so supportive, and so awesome (expecially since back when I met them I’m pretty sure my portfolio had NO wedding pictures in it).

Here they are at the wedding! ^

So anyways, fast forward a bit into the future and here they are with twins! Being my first wedding couple to have children, this was my first ever official baby shoot (How lucky am I that my first one was twins?!!)

In my last post I mentioned that I cannot wait until I have kids of my own. Kelly and Ray, although incredibly in love with their children and insanely happy, got the point across that it involves a little more work than having, say…a pet. Sounded to me like it involved months of little to no sleep and tons upon tons of poopy diapers. However – upon looking over these pictures of their beautiful babies, I came to the conclusion that it is absolutley, definitely, without a doubt worth it. :)

Hannah and Nathan are 5 months old (well, more like 5 and a half by now), and are starting to do all of the cute things that babies do, like making cute noises, smiling, spitting up all over the couch (hey, I think that’s pretty darn cute!). I was actually taking some pictures of Hannah when Nathan, up in his mom’s arms behind me, projectile spit about two feet forward onto my arm! Talk about impressive! I’m thinking he was trying to tell me that it was his turn.

Besides all of these cute things, they also make the most awesome facial expressions. They were much easier to direct than most adults I shoot, becauset they had so much material! (They must have been practising before I got there.) After an afternoon of shooting, they got a little tired, which allowed us to get in some awesome shots of them sleeping side by side.

They hold hands too! ^

Nathan has the most beautiful blue eyes. ^

Mom is a teacher, so the apple seemed to fit! ^

Kelly and Ray, thank you again for letting me hang out with you and the kids.

I love my job.
