E.SESSION | Wafa & Bilal | Vancouver Portrait Photography

This week has been crazy for these two.  They already were married in Pakistan, but are having ceremonies and celebrations here with Wafa’s family this week.  Because Bilal couldn’t get to Canada until this very week – it has been insane with last minute things.  To top it all off, our engagement session got rained out earlier in the week (good old Vancouver) so we only could steal about a half hour for photos yesterday evening in Stanley Park.

Wafa was stunning.  I was so excited.  I love bright colours in photos, but I don’t usually get treated to an outfit as amazing as this on a bride as beautiful as Wafa! (And Bilal isn’t bad-looking himself – what an photogenic couple!)  On top of that, they are so sweet together.  Wafa is calm and has that quiet inner beauty, and Bilal takes such good care of her and makes her smile.  I know that they will be so happy together.

Like I said, we only had a little time, but I still love the pictures we got.  :)  Stanley Park has so many neat spots!

Favourite:

This kind of picture is what my older sister refers to as my signature ’Fairy Glen’ shot.  :D
When we got to the bridge I was amazed to see that no one was on it!  Less photoshop work = eeeexcellent.
My other favourite:
I loved how Wafa’s bracelets made beautiful tinkling noises as she moved – I have bracelets similar to these, but they don’t make pretty noises.  (I’ll chalk that one up to magic?)

This is my first Pakistani wedding, and I am so excited for Wafa’s mehndi ceremony tonight!
Thankyou for sprawling on the grass and climbing into a tree for me Wafa – you are a trooper!
