Brenda and Brian are what my little brother would call “straight-up-G”. (Yeah, I don’t really get it either – but that’s what he would say.) They are the most laid back, genuinely happy people, and the best kind of people to photograph – so comfortable around eachother + constant smiles. To compare them to the latest song by Taylor Swift (my sister and I refer to her as TayTay), I would classify them as a t-shirt & sneaker wearing bleacher sitting couple. HELLO: just like me! They both were in 4-H when they were younger (as was I) and Brenda grew up on a farm. I didn’t grow up on a farm….. but we have a big field! :) (and I was at my Grandpa’s farm a lot growing up.)
Basically, long story short, I felt like we had so much in common and I felt so comfortable hanging out with them. Sometimes I get really nervous before a shoot, but with these two as soon as we started taking pictures all the jitters went away and we just chilled. It was pretty great. I think the pictures are pretty great too, but that’s just me. :D
I love these ones. A lot. (Simplicity always rules.)
How many people get horses in their engagement shots? Only very special people. :D
Horse AND motorbike? Pretty sure I was really excited.
Our shoot got crashed by Brenda’s second favourite person in the whole world: her nephew!
Brian claims this little guy is his biggest competition.
I can see why he would be worried – what a guy!
Brenda’s ring is similar to mine, so I already knew all of its best angles. ;P
